About us
TSVITE TEREN began in 2021.
"I have always had a great love for handwork, ceramics and jewellery, so I decided to combine it all and create things I would wear myself. I wanted to fill them with warmth and my own stories, associations from life.
It all started with $100, findings shops and flea markets where craftspeople sold their work in the form of strings of ceramic beads. I looked for interesting shapes and colours, came home and played with combinations of ceramic beads, stones and glass. That is how the first pieces began to appear.
I became deeply absorbed in this process and created a large number of one-of-a-kind pieces. One day I decided to show them to the world. I started thinking about a name, running through my head the things I love most: songs, memories, associations. I wanted something familiar to everyone. "Tsvite Teren" is a song from my memories that my grandmother sang together with her sisters at our family gatherings. To me this name sounded beautiful — both when spoken and in the heart.
Next came the logo, drawn in 2 minutes in my notes.
It all happened very fast: I simply created an Instagram page and posted my pieces. That same day the first orders appeared. I devoted all my free time to creating pieces, photographing them, posting them on the page and telling stories about them. There was a lot of good feedback from acquaintances and their acquaintances. People wanted to slightly modify the designs of the pieces, asking about colour options, so I expanded the range. Then requests began to appear about customisation and replacing components in a design — and I gladly agreed to it.
For the first six months I simply sent clients the bead options most similar to their wishes, and together we assembled new variations of jewellery.
This gave me the understanding that, thanks to variability and freedom for the client, I can give something more than just a piece of jewellery — I can give a uniquely important thing that I myself had searched for on the market for so long. That is what people came for.
As long as I was able, I made individual orders — I sat up at night assembling them and then received feedback that moved me to the depths of my soul. Uniqueness at this stage really played a key role in shaping my vision of the product. Later I found craftswomen who made ceramic beads according to my sketches and requests. The first birds — the main symbol of TSVITE TEREN — appeared at the beginning of 2022 and were greatly loved by my then still small audience.
After the full-scale invasion I temporarily stopped working, because I was forced to leave Kyiv, but clients' requests brought me back to life and to work. I worked actively with the ceramic production on creating new collections, developed many new designs and finally understood that ceramics is our main direction".
Brand founder Olha Ostapenko
The story of TSVITE TEREN began with a ceramic bead,
and today we create ceramic and silver jewellery, ceramic tableware and textile home decor.
We have no limits in creativity
and constantly diversify our materials and directions.
The main thing remains unchanged — handwork. Each piece is created by the hands of a maker and carries within it a part of their soul.
In every piece — the value of the craft and the uniqueness of the vision of the idea.
Our team is growing steadily: we now have a head office in Kyiv and showrooms in Kyiv and Lviv.
We have partners all over the world — they introduce more and more people to TSVITE TEREN pieces and help
them fall in love with them.
